In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Portrait of A Lady, Seated Three-Quarter-Length, Holding A Fan by Margaret Fisher Prout. Admittedly, works by Margaret Fisher Prout have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An evening beside the fire in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,273.43).
