Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Reclining Nude by Margaret Fisher Prout. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,896.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaret Fisher Prout - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An evening beside the fire, which sold at auction in September 2007 for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,273.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reclining Nude von Margaret Fisher Prout zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.896,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Margaret Fisher Prout mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An evening beside the fire beobachtet, die im September 2007 für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 6.273,43) versteigert wurde.
