Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art, which included the work Still-life with peaches by Margaret Fisher Prout. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,636.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaret Fisher Prout - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An evening beside the fire, which sold at auction in September 2007 for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,273.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still-life with peaches von Margaret Fisher Prout zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.636,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Margaret Fisher Prout mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An evening beside the fire beobachtet, die im September 2007 für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 6.273,43) versteigert wurde.
