Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract by Mardi Barrie was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,203.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Mardi Barrie have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2004 the work Evening interlude was auctioned for GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,325.45).
