Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro the series Bric’s by Marcus Lyon was sold in the BRIC auction at Phillips in London in April 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,927.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcus Lyon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Exodus VI, West Lamma Channel, South China Sea, 2011 in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 52,275.00 (€ 61,117.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro the series Bric’s von Marcus Lyon wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion BRIC bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.927,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcus Lyon erzielen.
