A top price for Marcus Leatherdale
In June last year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Male Form, which included the work Sleeping Guard by Marcus Leatherdale. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,422.50 (€ 2,313.97), 62% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Sleeping Guard the most expensive artwork by Marcus Leatherdale that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Male Form durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sleeping Guard von Marcus Leatherdale zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.422,50 (€ 2.313,97) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Sleeping Guard zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Marcus Leatherdale, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
