This artwork by Marco Tirelli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in May 2006. In the Modern Pictures auction, the work Gotico sold for EUR 8,928.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marco Tirelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,199.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marco Tirelli erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Pictures wurde die Arbeit Gotico für EUR 8.928,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marco Tirelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.199,10) versteigert wurde.
