A top price for Marco Benefial - as previously expected
In July 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection, which included the work A Man On Crutches by Marco Benefial. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,279.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Man On Crutches is the most expensive artwork by Marco Benefial that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Man On Crutches von Marco Benefial zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.279,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist A Man On Crutches das teuerste Kunstwerk von Marco Benefial, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
