Despite a disappointment, a good price for Marcia Lippman
When the work Le Desert de Retz, Chambourcy, France; and Highgate, London by Marcia Lippman was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 179.25 (€ 108.64). Despite this disappointing result, Le Desert de Retz, Chambourcy, France; and Highgate, London is the most expensive artwork by Marcia Lippman that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Le Desert de Retz, Chambourcy, France; and Highgate, London von Marcia Lippman im September 2003 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
