Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marcia Lippman could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Golden Valley, Rangoon, Burma; and Peliatan, Bali, Indonesia changed hands for USD 59.75 (€ 36.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcia Lippman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Desert de Retz, Chambourcy, France; and Highgate, London, which sold at auction in September 2003 for USD 179.25 (€ 108.64).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marcia Lippman konnte im September 2003 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
