Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Sale - Property Removed From a Chelsea Townhouse, which included the work Study Of A Sleeping Female Nude; A Gentleman Strolling In Front Of A Guard by Marcel Vertès. The price achieved of GBP 660.00 (€ 971.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Vertès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paravent Représentant Des Personnages De La Comedia Dell'Arte in January 2014 with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.

Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Sunday Sale - Property Removed From a Chelsea Townhouse durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study Of A Sleeping Female Nude; A Gentleman Strolling In Front Of A Guard von Marcel Vertès zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 971,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Vertès erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paravent Représentant Des Personnages De La Comedia Dell'Arte im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.500,00.
