Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marcel Vertès could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Seated woman changed hands for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,503.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Vertès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paravent Représentant Des Personnages De La Comedia Dell'Arte in January 2014 with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marcel Vertès konnte im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Seated woman für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.503,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00.
