In the Prints & Multiples Online auction, the work Le beau fixe, 1973 changed hands for EUR 115.20 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 150.00 – 250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Mariën achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pompéi, an 79 : grand coït de la dernière nuit in June this year with an auction result of EUR 19,840.00.
