Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 2 circles, 1 rectangle, 1 triangle by Marcel Louis Baugniet was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 882.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Louis Baugniet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 52,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit 2 circles, 1 rectangle, 1 triangle von Marcel Louis Baugniet im April letzten Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 882,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Louis Baugniet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.500,00.
