Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work The Age of Summer by Marcel Antonio. The price achieved of HKD 28,800.00 (€ 2,892.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 24,000.00 – 32,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcel Antonio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work West Of The Sun, East Of The Moon, which sold at auction in April 2007 for SGD 15,600.00 (€ 7,514.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Age of Summer von Marcel Antonio zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 28.800,00 (€ 2.892,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 24.000,00 – 32.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcel Antonio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit West Of The Sun, East Of The Moon beobachtet, die im April 2007 für SGD 15.600,00 (€ 7.514,49) versteigert wurde.
