Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre by Marc Devade was auctioned at Christies in Paris in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marc Devade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre N°1 - 1973, which sold at auction in June 2019 for EUR 19,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre von Marc Devade kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Marc Devade mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre N°1 - 1973 beobachtet, die im Juni 2019 für EUR 19.500,00 versteigert wurde.
