Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Violoniste by Marc Chagall was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. The price achieved of USD 1,030,000.00 (€ 975,194.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 900,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Violoniste von Marc Chagall wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.030.000,00 (€ 975.194,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 900.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
