Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maisons Dans Les Laurentides by Marc-Aurèle Fortin was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2010. The price achieved of CAD 18,000.00 (€ 13,448.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc-Aurèle Fortin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of Montreal From St. Helen'S Island in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 462,500.00 (€ 357,948.69).
