Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale Day Session, which included the work Sur by Manuel Pailós. Here, the upper estimate of USD 45,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 46,600.00 (€ 31,726.58). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manuel Pailós - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2008 for USD 86,500.00 (€ 68,142.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale Day Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sur von Manuel Pailós zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 45.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 46.600,00 (€ 31.726,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Manuel Pailós mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2008 für USD 86.500,00 (€ 68.142,43) versteigert wurde.
