A top price for Mandy Martin - as previously expected
In May 2003 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Brown Coal to Oil Site by Mandy Martin. The price achieved of AUD 10,575.00 (€ 5,853.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Brown Coal to Oil Site is the most expensive artwork by Mandy Martin that we have observed at auctions so far.
