A top price for Reginald Augustus Wymer - as previously expected
In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The march past of the Northumberland Fusiliers before Queen Victoria at the Jubilee Review, Aldershot, 7th July 1887 by Reginald Augustus Wymer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 750.00 (€ 934.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The march past of the Northumberland Fusiliers before Queen Victoria at the Jubilee Review, Aldershot, 7th July 1887 is the most expensive artwork by Reginald Augustus Wymer that we have observed at auctions so far.
