Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maho Kino achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2017. In the Front of House/Back of House auction, the work Hansel und Gretel sold for USD 1,125.00 (€ 951.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 400.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Maho Kino; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Peanuts One sold at auction in August last year with the realized price of USD 1,008.00 (€ 1,001.49).
