This artwork by Mahirwan Mamtani achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May last year. In the The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg auction, the work without title sold for GBP 882.00 (€ 1,037.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahirwan Mamtani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Set of Seven Works (Revelation; Untitled; Fulfillment; Integration; Untitled; Untitled; Shakti) in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 23,940.00 (€ 20,386.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mahirwan Mamtani erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 882,00 (€ 1.037,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mahirwan Mamtani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Set of Seven Works (Revelation; Untitled; Fulfillment; Integration; Untitled; Untitled; Shakti) im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.940,00 (€ 20.386,61).
