Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by MADSAKI could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online auction, the work Straight Outta Zamunda changed hands for HKD 1,512.00 (€ 181.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 4,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by MADSAKI achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birth of Venus II in May last year with an auction result of HKD 4,788,000.00 (€ 568,438.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von MADSAKI konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Straight Outta Zamunda für HKD 1.512,00 (€ 181,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 4.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von MADSAKI erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birth of Venus II im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.788.000,00 (€ 568.438,36).
