Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included the work Portrait Of An Artist (Pool With Two Figures) Ⅱ (Inspired By David Hockney)_P by MADSAKI. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,532.63), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by MADSAKI achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birth of Venus II in May last year with an auction result of HKD 4,788,000.00 (€ 568,438.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of An Artist (Pool With Two Figures) Ⅱ (Inspired By David Hockney)_P von MADSAKI zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.532,63) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von MADSAKI erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birth of Venus II im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.788.000,00 (€ 568.438,36).
