Brillo Box (3 Cents Off) II-P (Inspired By Andy Warhol) by MADSAKI was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwo Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by MADSAKI achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birth of Venus II in May last year with an auction result of HKD 4,788,000.00 (€ 568,438.36).

Als die Arbeit I. Brillo Soap Pads Box II-P/ II. Del Monte Box (Peach Halves) II-P/ III. Heinze Tomato Ketchup Box II-P/ Iv. Campbell's Tomato Juice Box II-P/ V. Brillo Box (3 Cents Off) II-P (Inspired By Andy Warhol) von MADSAKI im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 2.772,00 (€ 332,18) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von MADSAKI erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birth of Venus II im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.788.000,00 (€ 568.438,36).
