Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Graduate by Maclean Edwards was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. It achieved a price of AUD 11,950.00 (€ 7,187.61), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maclean Edwards - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lamplight, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 32,900.00 (€ 19,435.74).

Die Arbeit The Graduate von Maclean Edwards kam im April 2006 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 11.950,00 (€ 7.187,61) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Maclean Edwards mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lamplight beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 32.900,00 (€ 19.435,74) versteigert wurde.
