This artwork by Ma Wanli achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia auction, the work Wisteria sold for HKD 53,100.00 (€ 5,602.90) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Wanli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers And Birds, which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 177,000.00 (€ 18,676.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ma Wanli erzielte im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia wurde die Arbeit Wisteria für HKD 53.100,00 (€ 5.602,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Wanli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers And Birds beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 177.000,00 (€ 18.676,33) versteigert wurde.
