A top price for Ma Kelu - as previously expected
The work Light Of Reason 2 by Ma Kelu was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 380,000.00 – 480,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 403,560.00 (€ 41,547.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Light Of Reason 2 is the most expensive artwork by Ma Kelu that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Light Of Reason 2 von Ma Kelu wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 380.000,00 – 480.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 403.560,00 (€ 41.547,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
