Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Abstract Composition by Ma Kelu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,656.26), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Kelu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light Of Reason 2, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 403,560.00 (€ 41,547.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Abstract Composition von Ma Kelu kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.656,26) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Kelu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Light Of Reason 2 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 403.560,00 (€ 41.547,68) versteigert wurde.
