Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by M.Smart achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in August 2021. In the Middle Eastern Art Online Sale including works from the Saatchi Collection auction, the work without title sold for GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,267.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by M.Smart; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in February last year with the realized price of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,877.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von M.Smart erzielte im August 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Middle Eastern Art Online Sale including works from the Saatchi Collection wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.267,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von M.Smart; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.877,90).
