Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Portrait Of A Woman) by M. Sivanesan for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,596.70). This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by M. Sivanesan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Nude); Untitled (Family With Bull); Untitled (Roosters), which sold at auction in March this year for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,476.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Portrait Of A Woman) von M. Sivanesan für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.596,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von M. Sivanesan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Nude); Untitled (Family With Bull); Untitled (Roosters) beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.476,82) versteigert wurde.
