Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs, which included the work Young tigers by Lyndsey Selley. The price achieved of GBP 375.00 (€ 525.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lyndsey Selley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Leopard in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,877.50 (€ 6,337.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young tigers von Lyndsey Selley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 375,00 (€ 525,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lyndsey Selley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Leopard im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.877,50 (€ 6.337,62).
