The work Berries in a shell vase by Lux Buurman was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2002. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,135.25 62% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lux Buurman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Herbarium sold at auction in June 2002 with the realized price of EUR 2,031.50.

Die Arbeit Berries in a shell vase von Lux Buurman wurde im Juni 2002 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.135,25 und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lux Buurman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Herbarium im Juni 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 2.031,50.
