Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Trappings Of Battle by Luis Franco Salinas was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 800.00 (€ 974.81). Admittedly, works by Luis Franco Salinas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Violinist in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 7,029.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Trappings Of Battle von Luis Franco Salinas im Januar 2014 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 800,00 (€ 974,81) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Franco Salinas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Violinist im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.112,50 (€ 7.029,44).
