Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Luís Fernando Benedit was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2013. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,143.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luís Fernando Benedit - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Margaritas a los chanchos, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,351.99).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.143,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Luís Fernando Benedit mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Margaritas a los chanchos beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.351,99) versteigert wurde.
