Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Il gioco del biliardo by Luigi Sorio was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luigi Sorio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scorcio di Piazza della Scala dalla Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in April 2015 with an auction result of EUR 22,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Il gioco del biliardo von Luigi Sorio im Mai 2017 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 5.000,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luigi Sorio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scorcio di Piazza della Scala dalla Galleria Vittorio Emanuele im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.000,00.
