A top price for Luigi Querena - as previously expected
In June 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale, which included the work Italian the Doge'S Palace, Venice by Luigi Querena. The price achieved of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 59,892.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Italian the Doge'S Palace, Venice is the most expensive artwork by Luigi Querena that we have observed at auctions so far.
