Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Kodachrome by Luigi Ghirri was auctioned at Il Ponte in July 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Ghirri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Atelier Morandi', 1992 in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 51,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Kodachrome von Luigi Ghirri im Juli 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.500,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luigi Ghirri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Atelier Morandi', 1992 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 51.900,00.
