This artwork by Ludwig Vollmar achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2010. In the Old Masters & 19th Century Art auction, the work The zither player sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,053.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ludwig Vollmar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A playful moment in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,384.26).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ludwig Vollmar erzielte im Oktober 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit The zither player für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.053,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ludwig Vollmar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A playful moment im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.384,26).
