This artwork by Ludovico Marchetti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2011. In the Old Masters & 19th Century Art auction, the work Refreshments sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,484.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ludovico Marchetti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Italian Summer Regatta At The Bridge At Bercy, which sold at auction in June 2009 for GBP 36,050.00 (€ 42,303.47).
