In March 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art, which included the work La Fauche Des Foins À Montfoucault by Ludovic Piette-Montfoucault. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,525.35) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ludovic Piette-Montfoucault have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stadtgarten, Mans. 1875. in March 2013 with an auction result of CHF 18,000.00 (€ 14,799.16).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Fauche Des Foins À Montfoucault von Ludovic Piette-Montfoucault zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.525,35) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ludovic Piette-Montfoucault auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stadtgarten, Mans. 1875. im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 18.000,00 (€ 14.799,16).
