A top price for Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola - as previously expected
In October 2007 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art and Orientalist Art, which included the work The King's Daughter by Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola. The price achieved of USD 73,000.00 (€ 50,456.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The King's Daughter is the most expensive artwork by Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola that we have observed at auctions so far.
