Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work French le Bassin D'Amour by Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,677.50), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The King's Daughter in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 50,456.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French le Bassin D'Amour von Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.677,50) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The King's Daughter im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 50.456,18).
