In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section, which included the work Mystic Thoughts by Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,514.59), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The King's Daughter in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 50,456.18).

Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mystic Thoughts von Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.514,59) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The King's Daughter im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 50.456,18).
