Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French place Au Beurre, Quimper by Lucien Simon was sold in the European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,750.00 (€ 7,879.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lucien Simon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French le Petit Dejeuner in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 45,339.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit French place Au Beurre, Quimper von Lucien Simon wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.750,00 (€ 7.879,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucien Simon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French le Petit Dejeuner im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 39.650,00 (€ 45.339,90).
