Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Scheerbart's choice" by Lucebert was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 50,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 48,000.00 (€ 4,135.91). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucebert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch Dorfsscène in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 132,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Scheerbart's choice" von Lucebert im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 50.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 48.000,00 (€ 4.135,91) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucebert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch Dorfsscène im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 132.000,00.
