Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Extensive landscapes with travelers on paths by Lucas van Uden was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucas van Uden - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An extensive coastal landscape; and A river landscape with travellers, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 106,250.00 (€ 124,600.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Extensive landscapes with travelers on paths von Lucas van Uden im Juni 2002 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
