Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lu Zishu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. In the Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection auction, the work Writing Poems in Baoxiang Shi / Preface to Yang Tiefu’s Collection of Poems in Running Script sold for HKD 69,300.00 (€ 8,018.80) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Zishu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape After Ancient Artists, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,671.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Zishu erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection wurde die Arbeit Writing Poems in Baoxiang Shi / Preface to Yang Tiefu’s Collection of Poems in Running Script für HKD 69.300,00 (€ 8.018,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Zishu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape After Ancient Artists beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.671,53) versteigert wurde.
