Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in Cologne held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Scenery of the Three Gorges by Lu Yanshao. The price achieved of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 302,049.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,500,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lu Yanshao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunrise In Tai Mountain in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 16,250,000.00 (€ 1,855,531.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Köln die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scenery of the Three Gorges von Lu Yanshao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 302.049,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.500.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lu Yanshao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunrise In Tai Mountain im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.250.000,00 (€ 1.855.531,33).
